Community Commitment & Programs
Island Hearing & Affiliates is an active community member that contributes to
local, national and international communities. Our clinics support
local charities and participate in numerous local events.
We are commited to enhancing the communities in which we operate and support the following charities:
Pacific Assistance Dogs (PADS)
Pacific Assistance Dogs provide assistance for people who are facing the daily challenges of life with a physical disability or who are Deaf or hard of hearing. These highly skilled dogs allow clients to experience a greater level of independence and an enhanced quality of life.
PADs serves people in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba and holds active partnerships with similar organizations in Ontario and Nova Scotia. Some PADS dogs’ offspring are actively serving disabled and deaf or hard of hearing clients in communities all across Canada. Supporting one location proves beneficial to all other organizations.
Island Hearing & Affiliates is a proud sponsor of PADs through ongoing donations and through our partnered holiday calendars which are distributed to our clients during the holiday season.
United
Way
Each year Island Hearing & Affiliates along with staff contribute to the community through
contributions to the United Way.

year through direct donations of cash, food and clothing. In addition,
